My Nike Advertisement Analysis Haley Dekkinga Essay 4 Nike Advertisements In our society many name brands use different techniques of advertisements to sell their products. The companies often have goals in mind on how they want to target different audiences and they adjust their advertisements according to what they believe is appealing.
The two images I chose to discuss are both Nike advertisements, but they are very different in appearance. In the two Nike presentation essay I selected for this presentation, you can see the differences in the styles of the advertisements.
They both obviously attract different audiences, and have very different appeal. Society often finds themselves paying more attention to positive attributes like success, notoriety, and self-confidence in advertisements.
In both of these advertisements, there are some similarities that we can see. Both advertisements do a great job of representing the brand symbol, which is the Nike swoosh.
Both of those things help represent Nike as a company very well, and it is an excellent sales technique to attract customers. Also, you can also see that both of these advertisements are very positive, which Nike of course only wants to associate with positive things and not negative ones.
At the bottom of the ad it says Nike women, which confirms that it is for a female audience. I believe this ad is trying to relate to women and show them that Nike supports them.
In this ad they have a paragraph stating how the lady loves her body even though it is not perfect, but she explains that she is who she is. To me, Nike is trying to say that if you buy our products you too can be self-confident and love your body.
They are trying to convince customers that if they buy their product that it will help them have a better and healthier view of themselves. This advertisement also does a great job in representing the product, which in this case are Nike shoes.
In this Nike ad they have the model barely clothed with the Nike shoes accentuated in this image. I believe that Nike tried to display the model with barely any clothes because other clothes could be a distraction and instead they wanted the main focus to be on the Nike shoes.
They also have the model on her toes, which attracts more attention to the product itself. I often find myself looking to see what other girls are wearing in order to see what I should be buying, especially if the girls are pretty or popular.
Which the same goes for women if they see a man like that, I bet they will pay attention. Also the environment of the ad is bright white and very clean looking, which make the audience feel a very pure feeling associated with Nike.
